Creation of the Committee:

The objective of setting up an Other Backward Classes (OBC) Cell in a AUCBM is generally aimed at addressing the concerns and needs of students belonging to the OBC category. The specific goals and objectives may vary based on the policies and regulations of the country or region, but some common objectives include:

• The OBC Cell works towards creating an inclusive and supportive environment for students from Other Backward Classes. This involves implementing policies and programs that promote equal opportunities in education.
• The OBC Cell is responsible for streamlining the admission process for OBC students and providing information about available scholarships and financial assistance programs.
• OBC Cells often offer counseling services to students, addressing academic, personal, and career-related concerns. This support helps OBC students navigate the challenges of college life.
• The OBC Cell serves as a platform for OBC students to voice their concerns and grievances. It works towards resolving issues related to discrimination or any challenges faced by OBC students within the college.
• The OBC Cell may organize awareness campaigns and workshops to educate both students and faculty about the rights and entitlements of OBC students, as well as to foster understanding and cooperation.
